A. Guest Users (Local Storage)

If you use StudyLocus by sval.tech without signing in, all your data (tasks, notes, timers, settings) is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. We do not have access to this data. It never leaves your device unless you choose to sign in.

B. Registered Users (Cloud Sync)

When you voluntarily choose to sign in using Google, we collect limited information to provide sync functionality:

• Authentication Data: Provided by Google (Name, Email, Profile Picture).
• User Content: The dashboard data you create (To-Do lists, notes, study logs, exam dates) is synced to our secure database to allow access across multiple devices.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information strictly for functional purposes:

• To authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• To sync your study progress across your devices (Phone/Desktop).
• To maintain your preferred application settings (Theme, Fonts, Backgrounds).

Note: We do not sell your data, nor do we analyze your personal notes or study content for advertising purposes.

3. Technology & Third Parties

StudyLocus by sval.tech is built on Google Firebase, a secure cloud infrastructure platform.

• Firebase Authentication: Manages secure logins.
• Cloud Firestore: Stores your synced data encrypted at rest.
• Google Analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g., "how many users used the Timer feature") to improve the application performance. You can opt-out using standard browser privacy tools.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Your Rights: You own your data.

• Edit/Delete: You can modify or delete specific cards, tasks, or logs directly within the app interface at any time.
• Full Account Deletion: If you wish to permanently wipe all your data from our servers, you can send a request to the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

5. Security

We rely on industry-standard security protocols provided by Google Firebase. Access to the database is restricted by strict security rules, ensuring only the authenticated user (you) can read or write their own private data.

6. Changes to Policy

We may update this policy as the application evolves. Significant changes will be notified via the application. Continued use implies acceptance of the updated policy.
