Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the StudyLocus by sval.tech dashboard. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Nature of Service

StudyLocus by sval.tech is a personal project and portfolio piece developed by Shaurya Pratap Singh. It is a productivity dashboard provided free of charge to help students prepare for competitive exams.

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for stability, we do not guarantee uptime, data persistence, or specific feature availability.

2. Intellectual Property & License

The visual design, user interface, specific code implementations, and branding of StudyLocus by sval.tech are the intellectual property of Shaurya Pratap Singh.

Source Code Visibility: The source code may be visible in public repositories (e.g., GitHub) for educational and transparency purposes. This is not an open-source license. You are strictly prohibited from:

Copying the codebase to launch a competing commercial product.
Removing attribution or copyright notices.
Using the "StudyLocus by sval.tech" trademark or "sval.tech" branding without permission.

3. User Accounts & Security

You are responsible for safeguarding the Google Account you use to access the Service. StudyLocus uses Firebase Authentication (provided by Google) and does not store or process your password directly. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with security best practices.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Abuse the API or cloud storage limits through automated scripts or "spamming" data.
Reverse engineer the application for malicious purposes.
Attempt to access data belonging to other users.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer (Shaurya Pratap Singh) be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of data (e.g., study logs, notes), loss of goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the application interface. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
